3 hour connection time should be o.k. but you are suppose to be at the gate 30 minutes before the flight, so that takes you to 2.5 hours, and security at ATL could be really short, OR really long...
The ride from the aiport to the Museum can't be morethan 5-10 minutes but add in time for actually catching the bus/shuttle etc...
I would just be mindful of the time at the museum, it is easy to spend a lot of time (and money) at the gift shop and not even realize it!
