... just to add -- I'm not sure where the read came from that I would be demanding anything... the situation was evolving quickly and if it had worsened only slightly my next steps would have been to ask the onboard staff for help beyond saying they wouldn't spray the freshener again. That could have led to many outcomes, oxygen, a return to the gate, EMT's or none of the above.

All I know for sure, is that a chemical was sprayed in the plane causing distress in varying degrees to a number of passengers and would hope this would not have been considered to be our fault or only our problem.
