Hey Starwood, the new aloft brand is great. I'm in the middle of my second stay at one, and loving it. However, one big complaint. The desk lamps look great, and provide great light. BUT, the bulbs you bought for them are too darn big for the lamp. They hang out of the shade about an inch, which results in a blinding glare right at eye level if the light is on. There are smaller twist style compact fluorescent bulbs on the market that would fit this lamp shade properly and provide just as much light. I suggest buying them. Otherwise, the lamps are unusable, as there's no way to turn it on without having the bottom inch of the bare bulb blinding you.
