Great advice everyone ^

My next question is around flights in and out of SIN. I have got to SIN via my British Airways miles (One World alliance) and now want to see if I can collect enough miles to get to the recommended locations. Quantas are a OW partner but I see that Star Alliance appears to have more partners in SE Asia.

I can switch my point gathering to a Star Alliance if it is worth it. Everyone says that it is cheap (at the moment) anyway in SE Asia.

Locations look like
Koh Samui - for nice houses on a great beach
Kaula Lumpur- because everyone says it is worth a visit
Borneo - family want to see the apes

Any suggestions/ideas?
