To add insult to injury... we finally heard back from Central Baggage. The max claim is $3000, but the catch in the email states that we need to send in original receipts and no copies of the receipts are allowed. We did not expect to have our bag and its contents STOLEN!!

This is ridiculous! We WILL NEVER FLY WITH JETBLUE again!

Caphis and fly4living you two are the only ones in your company who provided us with any real help since last Tuesday! Thanks for escalating the matter but we're not only disappointed with the fact that our bag is now classified as irretrievable at this stage, but now, we have to go hunting to find old receipts to file a claim for our lost bag.

It's been a BIG disappointment. You should have your company check on getting a proper bag tracking system at place. The last time I "lost my bag" with Delta, they were able to find it using the bag tracking system to tell me if it was scanned or not (just like UPS or Fedex) that way, they were able to tell me where it ended up. I was then updated the very next day on the whereabouts and it was promptly delivered to my hotel.

A lesson to be learned here in customer service especially since it's YOUR mistake. You don't make the customer feel as if they chose to lose their bag and then leave them hanging and chasing for an answer.

I would gladly pay an extra $15 in my ticket price if it meant that I would be able to ensure that my bags arrive with me.
