Well under their part 121 certificate, you are required to comply with all crew member instructions, so if they say only use the lav in your class, then it would be a violation not to comply with that instruction. I don't really see the problem anyway, but it does seem like this catch-all covers the situation. Edit - and I agree there is no specific FAR, so the announcement should be something like "our policy etc." rather than "FAA regulations etc." as there is no specific reg.
