Sorry to learn about the temporary (hope) closure. I did notice some interruptions imposed by tourists while I was there in July. Two ladies simply came in through the wrong door which led into where the rows of tuna were & an auction was taking place. A young female smilingly walked into the auction floor (away from the coned strip where tourists are allowed) and handed her P&S camera to a worker, signaling to get her picture taken with a big tuna! That worker obliged w/o apparent ill feeling though. Many took their pictures with flash ON.

I loved the place. Hope they re-open it soon, perhaps with a charged admission as mentioned by a prior post. Besides the tuna auction floor, the rest of the market (including the otter market) was very interesting and worth touring.
