No, you must live in France to have one of the Flying Blue American Express cards. On the other hand, now that you live in the UK, you only need 40,000 miles to get/keep Gold Status, and if you fly any French domestic sectors, they will count towards your flight count. Those of us who live in France need 60,000 to make/keep Gold and any French domestic sectors don't count as 'flights' (though the miles earned from them are still status miles).

Personally, I'd rather have the lower status threshold, even though miles earned on the AE Gold Card are status miles. If I lived outside France I'd make Platinum almost every year.
