As a UK-based small business owner, there are obvious benefits to keeping an eye on costs. I had been eyeing some PC points that I have accumulated with business travel to pay for a personal stay at Changi later in the year. That's 25,000 points to save me £100 all in.

Now, I also need to stay in London later in the week and to book into somewhere decent & convenient I'm looking at at least £160, or I can use the same number of points and stay at zero cost to my business.

My back-of-an-envelope calculations suggest that what with corporation tax, income tax etc there's not going to be much to decide between the above two strategies - anyone have any comments on this?

Thanks

Tony
I never use points for business purposes really I only ever pay for stays and use the ponts for personal travel. Your logic seems reasonably sound although arguably you could reclaim the VAT for the London stay which would tip things more in favour of using points for the Asia stay.
