OT - small business owners - when do you use points for business?

I'm just wondering what to do about some upcoming hotel stays I have.

As a UK-based small business owner, there are obvious benefits to keeping an eye on costs. I had been eyeing some PC points that I have accumulated with business travel to pay for a personal stay at Changi later in the year. That's 25,000 points to save me £100 all in.

Now, I also need to stay in London later in the week and to book into somewhere decent & convenient I'm looking at at least £160, or I can use the same number of points and stay at zero cost to my business.

My back-of-an-envelope calculations suggest that what with corporation tax, income tax etc there's not going to be much to decide between the above two strategies - anyone have any comments on this?

Thanks

Tony
