Wow, thanks to all for the great info and suggestions! More are always welcome, but in any event this has proven really useful. We'll (briefly) toast our fellow FTers as we gaze out over the river (from whichever hotel) on our last evening in Thailand--assuming, of course, that the political situation doesn't dissuade us from going!
