I agree that certain MPs are a waste of $$$$. OTOH, I have observed two MPs close and personal....and they work hard and diligently.
We can and indeed have recruited a lot of capable people working for the governments. But with the current system, most of these capable people are utilizing their talents for their own good, not for the good of the public. Without an effective monitoring system and a knowledgeable public, these "elected" or appointed officials can utilize their talents to do whatever they like. This is why I have no respect for any government people.

But this is going way too far OT and I don't really want to debate on this topic any further.
