You make it sound as if you buy a new one each time...You know you can use the same Octopus card eternally...

I'm in Hong Kong right now, first time here in over a year (thanks to SARS and a cancelled trip earlier this year), and I've used the same Octopus card for the last 4-5 years.

But you're right...FABULOUS thing, no need to worry about buying a trip ticket each time, just lay your wallet on the reader, and whisk right on through...Good stuff!
