Just love that airport train! Clean, fast, quiet, drops you right in the terminal. What more could you ask for except the Dom? The U.S. is soooo far behind in these transportation areas. (Anyone at METRO in D.C. listening? or Chicago???)</font>
While I 100% agree that the HK train (or its cousin, Heathrow Express) makes travel very simple, I must defend Chicago here-- the EL has connected ORD and the loop for many years. While the numerous stops get annoying after a while, it's still very reliable airport-to-city transportation. Within the
past year, SFO just connected to downtown San Fran via train. LAX...well...we won't bring up LAX's PT system (or severe lack thereof), and despite NYC's decent PT, LGA is nearly unheard of.
Point here is that Chicago and ORD have been connected via a 45-minute train ride for a few decades now. I think there are many more U.S. cities that need help before Chicago.
