How does one untangle this?
It seems pretty clear that the extra bag applies only to flights between North and South America, and even with this statement it's not clear that the bag is 'free'
Now, does one get an additional 20 kg (44 lbs) meaning that each of the bags one checks is now up to 72lbs -or- is this whole benefit only for flights between North and South America? I'm more confused than ever.

OK, I suppose I am spoiled by UA where the policy is crystal clear and *G gets 3 bags at 70lbs each

I noticed the #2 after I posted it. I wish some things were clearer. I guess I think it's strange to carry that much luggage (not trying to start something with that comment just my personal observation which I have been flamed for before).
