My girlfriend is Chinese and she is leaving for the US three days before I do to spend Xmas with my Christmas. She is flying Beijing - SFO and has a 12 hour layover. I will have a friend pick her up at SFO and then make sure she gets on her flight later in the day to EWR.

She leaves SFO at 10:30 in the evening and then takes a red-eye to Newark. She has to transfer to a flight from Newark (EWR) to CLT at the Newark airport. I am really concerned about her finding the gate and making the connection. Her English skills are pretty limited. She has about 100 minutes layover time at EWR.

Any suggestions to help her make sure she makes her flight? IS EWR confusing. Do they offer any assistance to international travelers?
