Any problems with US resident purchasing on LAN Peruvian site?

We want to purchase tickets for travel completely within Peru (LIM-CUS, JUL-LIM). I read a suggestion where purchase on the Peruvian site allowed access to lower fare classes at significantly-reduced prices. I've checked, and it is quite true- about 1/3 the cost.

I checked with a FTer in Argentina, and he said that purchases made on that site have a disclaimer about being for residents, although he's not heard of anyone having a problem.

On the Peruvian site, I didn't see anything in the fare rules, or on any text I looked at, but have not gone all the way to purchase as yet.

For identification, it asks for passport and has a dropdown with all countries, so they are surely not limiting it there. Further, the default payment is in USD.

Does anyone have experience with this scenario?

Cheers.
