I just flew to Toronto from Phoenix, on United via Denver. I just made *G last month, and used the Red Carpet Room in Denver. When flying back, the agent at the door asked me for my "card" and I said "what card/" She said the "rules" are that I need to show my *G card. Makes know sense since the boarding pass prints the word "Gold" on it. Plus I can't find anything on the Star Alliance web site that states this. I hate it when airlines make up rules that don't make sense AND they don't tell you about it.
