I'm not sure how large of a company you work for, but companies with large contracts with the airlines are sometimes able to do name changes on tickets for a fee. This enables them to recycle the value of non-refundable tickets toward other employee travel needs.

Either way, before taking a company-paid ticket and reusing for your own personal travel, I'd just run it by the right people to make sure that's fine. I know my company specifically requires us to notify our travel desk when we have unused tickets. They're reclaimed and reused for other needs. Failing to follow that, especially reusing for personal travel would result in disciplinary action.
