that's the issue. I'll likely take a Northeast territory and my travel will be personal and very light. But, as has been pointed out, if I get to EXP in 2010 I will still be Plat which comes in very handy for the personal trips.
As far as a trip to Europe, it's not a no brainer. It's a work trip, with lots of driving and no extra curicular time whatsoever. It's 4 days of my life gone forever.
so, here's what I'm scheming. The tickets are paid. My boss has told me I don't have to go (I'm leaving the co 12/31). I called the Plat desk to inquire about transfering the tickets to another itinerary. For $250 I can change to any itinerary, and, if the new ticket is less than the ticket to LHR, I will get a vaucher for the diff. Since the ticket is non-refundable, it's stupid not to.
So I'm either going to do a Fla run and play some golf (BOS-ORD-TPA, TPA-MIA-BOS) This gets me to 100,069. Or I'm talking to Mrs Cheetah (Cougar if you like) about a last minute crazy idea of BOS-DFW-OGG and back. Take a look at the $209 ea way fares for that flight. Only concern there is that they are O-fare which is not upgradable??? Might be worth using miles for her and getting an upgradeable ticket.
Anyway, need to think fast as my current tickets are for this Monday.
Any suggestions on where to go??? Thanks a lot for all the input, you guys are great help.
cheers.
