Assuming it was a busy flight, I wouldn't want to get to the airport having chosen 64A/B and find that, say, myself and my companion had to be separated.

I guess these things are totally subjective, which is part of the fun of FT - but surely 64AB is the least desirable of the 'desirable' UD pairs and you would only grab it at OLCI if it was the only 'premium' UD pair available?
Having spent quite a bit of time on the UD pondering the best seats for a couple, I would say:
62JK - Perfection since 62K is awesome and 62J is not 'bad'
62AB - Near perfection, beaten only because 62K is slightly better than 62B
64JK - OK since 64K is great, but 64J is lousy
64AB - OK since 64A is great, but 64B is lousy plus there is a small risk of bootage.
