Those are all some very creative ideas, but I prefer the tips for cooking with an iron.
As to the coffee maker suggestions, I won't even make hot water for my tea with a coffemaker as it leaves the tea tasting too much of coffee, so I can't imagine cooking coffee- flavored meals in it.
