Whats the difference if they paid for a Lapchild or were upgraded with one? If they had paid, would you have not complained in that case? If they are elites, then clearly they fly enough to know the rules and what is expected, but they have also earned the priviledge of sitting up front. I'm so tired of this wholier than thou attitude with first class. There have been loud and obnoxious adults in First Class but no one can get them out either.

Its a shame that these particular children seem to be causing so much noise, but it does sound like the parents at least tried to quell it by walking with the child. Sometimes that happens, but in the end they are entitled to be there just like you. You also seem to feel that the people in coach deserve this noise? Why? You are paying for service but you can not control who your fellow passengers are. I don't remember seeing any guarantee from the airlines that you will have a perfectly quiet and peaceful flight without the disruption of other passengers.

As an experienced flier, you would also know that you were traveling on the heaviest family travel days and this would have been expected. Next time deplane if tranquility is more important than getting a meal.
