Rhapsody in Blue has been used for many years by United in an exclusive arrangement with George Gershwin's family. Does anyone know the status of this deal, and when it might end?

I ask because Gershwin wrote the piece while travelling from New York to Boston, a city pair UAL no longer serves (except as a codeshare with US)...


...and he wrote it onboard a train!
