Same calculation in my mind, actually.

I am 8542 miles short of 90K and I haven't used the 2500 miles from the EEP 60K threshold. So I would need 6042 miles to be able to gift Silver to my wife again for 2009.

I don't think it's going to happen, though. She only traveled once without me this year, so it was only worth it once. I don't see much more solo travel for her next year.
