That's exactly what I was thinking. It might have helped to establishe the facts. So far we have all conjectured that this person was asleep - he may have been - he may have been quite ill. This happens. I had two crew members the other day who became ill - flu type symptoms - during a flight. They had reported in and been OK at briefing and during the flight - it was actually colleagues who came to tell me that that one and then the other were feeling bad. Fortunately we have areas where they can rest where no passenger can see them as it is so easy to jump to the wrong conclusions.
We all have days where we are torn as to whether we really are fit to work or not - and sometimes we get on and all is well - and other times we end up having to go home as we really should not have gone to work inthe first place.
There are all sorts of possibilities and I think that I would be far more concerned with not so much whether the crew member was asleep but why the crew member was asleep. We should not always judhe books by the picture on the cover.
