From a service perspective, you pretty much got what you expected. Certainly not what a paying "F" pax should get, but (for the most part) that's not the FA's fault. The FA could have used the flight to show how good AA can be. I have been in some "F" flights that I will never forget because of the impact of an FA. AA missed the opportunity to make that kind of impression on you and that is loss for everyone involved.

So, why am I asking for your consideration? Because of the point made by AAFA. For reasons that none of us know, the rest of the crew accepted this FA's behavior. Yes, they could be covering for a real problem, such as drinking. My guess (and that's all it is) is that the crew was aware of the circumstances surrounding the FA's situation and made a compassionate judgement call. I would be swayed by their compassion and let the issue go.

Thank you for your consideration.
Perhaps you're giving the OP a reason to complain about all the FAs on the flight!!
