Thanks guys, to Chris and also the CIA guy whose name has gone off the screen now that I'm replying to a later thread, sorry. I started the topic off feeling a bit peed about the loss of the T3 lounge (as I'm a gold Y flyer). Chris is right - the T1 lounge will now be for us loyal silver and gold Y fun loving EK supporting folks!
I used the T3 lounge last week - and apart from its location by the gates I WAS disappointed. The CIA guy is right, the food seemed poorer quality, and you can no longer help yourself to drinks. In the old lounge I used to pour a juice after juce after a long connecting flight, now you have to ask at a bar for one. It also seems very large and I actually got lost and couldn't find my table for a while. And the toilets!! Heck - 4 WC cubicles in the mens for so many people to use - 2 of which were out of order. Really bad planning and design.
My connections are either stressfully short (but always made in time by me and my bag) or long - and with those I'll have time to treck off to T1, and the walk will do me good!
