I'm a bit disappointed by some of the posts on this thread - and most of my disappointment is w/ the folk bashing the doctor, and suprise by some that are. Wouldn't have expected it of you.

First, Gawd knows there are enough titles on every forum that aren't well-articulated (can you help comes to mind ). I thought the title given what was said to him was ok.

Again, I don't think he offered to help (after personally being approached) w/ the thought oh goody, think I'll get something.

It was mentioned by UA staff AFTER the fact - and thus started the (I'm sure by him now lamented) thread.

His question was valid - as are a lot of threads that get started by stoo-pid things UA staff say & do or don't do (THIS is a F class meal, can you believe they said or did this, they didn't follow through when they said they did, whine, whine, whine).

He was looking for input - not bashing. But this being FT - he got both .

Doc, many thanks from those of us who do appreciate you stepping up to the plate. If you do so in the future, know you may not get thanks from a) UA; b) the patient (the latter being even worse than the former in my opinion unless any doc assisting chooses to remain anonymous & thus the patient can't contact him/her).

And if you or other docs do help out in the future & us FTers hear about it, may we offer you a drink chit or an upgrade or a verbal thanks or our not so great dessert in biz class or something else you can use, even if you don't expect it (if you do & only offer to help out because of that, dif story, but that probably violates a personal oath, even if it doesn't the Hippocratic one).

PS - something happens to me I definitely want to be on an SQ flight, not UA!!!!
