- I experienced about 75%+ of requested upgrades as AA PLT and 100% so far as EXP
- very subjetive
- Not too hard if you are a PLT or EXP, but clearly there are several other factors involved.
- For the most part, I find them to be competitive. ORD is much easier for me than MDW, so I usually dont even bother comparing.

This is a misconception, although true for the most part. AA will match status up to PLT through my company's travel department. And I believe it does the same for a few other companies. So "no match" is not quite true. However, afaik, it is limited to a company and is certainly not offered to individuals.
