Last time I flew LH in C, they served from the back first. I was in row 1 and got stuck without a choice of meals. FRA is perhaps the worst airport in the EU after LHR (I've never had a bad experience in CDG, so for those of you who disagree, this is just based on my experience). LX offers a nice service with almost always flawless flight attendants. Zurich is a MUCH nicer airport to transit in. The one bad part is that if you are flying from a Schengen country to another Schengen country, you'll be forced to go through immigrations on both ends of the trip. As a UK citizen, you will be able to just walk through and flash your passport, but any time one has to stand in another line just to show ID, it is never fun. With LH, if you fly Schengen to Schengen, you do not clear any immigrations at any time.
