Our son is 4 months old and we did not buy an extra seat for him based on the bulkhead row and potential bassinet availability.
We are checking our stroller but we would like to keep our car seat with us to ensure that it does not get damaged.
My question is will we be allowed to put our car seat into the overhead compartment?
Thanks for your help. -- T
I doubt you'll be able to keep the carseat - we have always had to check it in, and if it's anything but the bucket style then it almost certainly won't fit in the lockers. With BA we check it into the outsize baggage counter, and so far no damage has occurred. Never carried it onto the plane yet. Only time you could carry the seat on is if it's an FAA approved one (assume you're flying from the US?) and you have bought a seat for your baby.
If you're in J or F then they
might let you take it to the gate and if the flight isn't full they
might let you store it in one of the wardrobes if there's space but don't count on it!
Happy travels. We lived in Milan for a couple of years and loved it - although loved it more without the baby than with
