Basically, United changed my itinerary by a full hour (flight moved from 7 to 6 am) and my new itinerary also has a 3-hour layover instead of 2 hours, which was the case of my original itinerary.
I'm rather curious why you can't live with this schedule change. I have a 3.5 hour layover later today on an international trip and make good use of the time (and like the padding in case of bad weather at my connecting city--the other option was a 90 minute connection). An hour change in departure just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
