You can sue and/or press your own criminal charges for illegal detention, detainment or kidnapping - no employee of the TSA has the right to hold, detain or otherwise keep you if you want to leave. They are not law enforcement.

If you try to leave the checkpoint and a screener tries to hold you, fighting back is justifiable.
