That was the funniest thing I've seen on an airplane in a long time - adiós Maria.

Shortly after takeoff from SYD this morning, the service director came on announced that IFE was now available. And it seems everyone has had enough of the commercials. After perhaps 90 seconds of fooling around with the controls, 6 or 8 of us all put the screens away, stood up, got down our carry-on or went to the lav or otherwise wandered about.

Then about 7 minutes later, we all returned to our seats about the same time, flipped open the TV screens and began watching our "commercial free" programs. Notwithstanding that there was no apparent planning, trained monkeys could not have done it better, or more in unison.

And I don't think I'm the only one that noticed. So I guess it's now official.
