Boeing 737-800 / 2 Class / Business / Rows 1, 2, 3
Although every J seat is fairly indifferent there are some pros and cons for each one.
Row 1:
- Pros
- 1D lets you see the CSM and front cabin crew member during take off, landing and turbulence, which is nice if either or both are good looking.
- First to be served in J
- You'll be one of the first off the plane (or possibly the first one).
- Cons
- Smaller overhead locker space
- No seat in front to shove carry-on under
- Fixed bulkhead, which may not be ideal for tall people
Row 2 is the most balanced option, with full overhead locker and no fixed bulkhead.
Row 3:
- Pros
- The person behind you is a pleb, though they will have bulkhead-like room (although behind you is just a curtain), so feel free to recline all you want, even during meal times (I assume this doesn't impede a lot on their space and the row 4 tables are in the arm rest, so no table bumping is possible)
- Cons
- Closest to the plebs (not a huge issue unless you think it is)
- Last to be served in J, which nominally takes an exorbitant amount of time and may limit your food options (depending on what everyone else picked)
