I just used 4 CR1s for relatives flying SFO-BOS next August and Oct.

Each flight showed NF1 (you know, this becomes norm at 330 day mark) so I grabbed the upgrades quickly.

At least I appreciate that I could use CR1s for relatives and friends because otherwise they would never get upgraded. They are only 2P and BOS-SFO is one of the most difficult routes to get an upgrade.
