used both the pier and the BA/QF F lounges at the end of November - If you want to eat something substantial then go for the Pier - otherwise not much difference between the 2. There is plenty of champagne in both and the staff are friendly. The BA lounge was a very short distance from the BA departure gate (?62) which was handy - you could see the folk going through the departure gate from the lounge and time it to perfection.
