Anyhow, I went to Air New Zealand club and for $55 I could get a day pass (day pass not offered at Maple Leaf Club)....

ANZ Club blows away ours!! in addition to at least 2-3x the size, very updated vs NWA LAX club, showers, Salad Bar, Sandwiches, Soups, they come around with eclairs, lamb on a stick, other desserts.

In addition, I met one of the guys who worked there and we struck up a converation about travel to NZ and he had the server make me a dessert (something with kiwi fruit and merenque(sp) )...it was fantastic.

In summary, it is what I could only imagine a club should be.

Every bit worth the cash.
Agree, love the Koru Club. They make Worldclubs look like a joke. The worst Koru club (Melbourne possibly) is better than the nicest Worldclub. Not to mention the dumps like DCA, MKE and LAX. Would it kill NW to put out some more variety in the snack area?? I have been a member for 4 years and never eat snacks anymore, because they are so terrible. Delta and CO are guilty of the same offense. Although CO gets points for having premium wines on hand albeit at a charge.
BTW - I highly recommend ANZ biz class service trans pac. The only decent way to go to NZ/AUS. Although have not flown the A380 Qantas yet.
