It is not intended to be a value to you, rather it is intended for you to be a value to them. Just like the candy by the checkout stand they want to catch you on impulse and avoid having you go to Dollar or Alamo.

This things are never about benefitting the customer. Its about sucking more money out of you... but somehow I think you already knew that.
