I suppose it depends on how often you get to pass through the hallowed halls of the CCR, Galleries First, or Galleries Club. I've just changed my outbound domestic leg on a redemption flight next April in F as i felt the 2hrs 55mins from landing to departure wasnt going to give enough time to fully enjoy all the CCR has to offer, so have gone for the flight before and will now have around 4Hrs 45mins. I do intend doing a bit of work while there as well, but as i seldom get to fly BA, use lounges, or enjoy the delights of F, i intend to eat drink and be merry before getting on my JFK flight - having had a spa treatment if i can get one and sampling the full dining options in the CCR before flying. Depending on whether or not my flight is leaving from T5B, i might even head over there for a little while before departure, to ensure i get as much lounge time as i can before boarding .

If its your first time, i'd completely agree to give it at least 4 hours - hope you have a fantastic trip. Its been 3 years since my last time in F (which was also my first time) and i still remember how enjoyable it was.
