Is there some sort of policy about which flights AA does and doesn't do preflight drinks in F? Most flights, but not all, of my flights under 500 miles don't get pre flight drinks (AUS-DFW was the exception) but those over 500 miles have. Is that typical? And what about offering warm nuts? I've never got them on a flight under 500 miles. What about meal options? What are the guidelines on those regarding number of miles.

I did do a search and tried looking under the FAQ thread but didn't see anything comprehensive. If I missed it, mods feel free to merge with the appropriate thread. Thanks in advance for your responses.
