I have 740 points on my BA Exec. I need only 60 points for gold. My membership year is closing in two weeks and I really don't have to travel anywhere the next two weeks.

I have checked air fares and the easiest 2x40 point is a return trip ARN-HEL. This will cost me 500€. The flight is only one hour so I can easily do the roundtrip in one day. If I had booked one or two weeks ago, I could have had a even cheaper ticket. ARN-LHR fpr 390€ in CE. The trip is longer though.

Now, I have been silver for some years now and it's really annoying that I'm so close to gold. But 500€ can be spent on other things.

So, I'm fishing for arguments that I should spend the money and be gold

I really want to once in my life have that darned gold on BA, but I need your moral support to do it
