Can somebody explain to me with an example what this actually means ?

Next lowest ?

So if I am booked in the Y bucket, the next lowest would be the B bucket ?
If this is indeed the case why would B be available if Y isn't ?
I don't understand what BA are trying to tell us ?
Shouldn't it be the other way round, i.e. the next HIGHEST fare bucket ? (e.g. if booked in B then the agent can book Y at no additional cost?)

Very strange.

I am booked to fly FRA-BKK tomorrow night (27th) with LH, returning on the 2nd.
I called LH and asked what the procedure would be tomorrow: They will definately fly me to SGN, which is the regular continuation of the FRA-BKK-SGN flight. Presumably the flight will skip BKK and go straight to SGN.
On my return, LH offered to put me on either a KUL-FRA, SGN-FRA or even SIN-FRA with my tickets at no extra cost - even on ANY other *A flight if LH cannot accomodate me. (I have a FRA-BKK business class return ticket, Z class, LH only, however fully flexible.)

Seems like LH is more generous / flexible in terms of rebooking.

I will however probably postpone my trip for 14 days.
