I had a recent stay at this hotel & I was underwhelmed at check-in, although the subsequent outcome was ok.
The person checking me in appeared to be having trouble (looked like a new employee). I asked what my upgrade was & she told me the allocated room type (which was the same as booked), and that it was the only upgrade I would get?? Another employee came over and I asked her about free club access (given some of the prior experiences here).
She told me that Platinum members were offered club access at $30/day instead of the usual $60/day, but that all club rooms with 2 doubles (we needed 2 beds) were sold out. I asked about taking the allocated room but getting club access with it & they said that was ok so I took it. When I received a copy of the bill in the mail there was nothing on it for club access, so not sure what happened there.
Seems like a pretty inconsistent place alright!
