Actually, Horizon's Dash-8 fleet is substantially *better* equipped for weather than Skywest's EMB-120 and CRJ fleets - their entire fleet is equipped for Cat III (possibly Cat IIIa) operations - full autoland with augmentation through the heads-up display. When weather gets really awful in the NW, QX generally continues to operate >80% of their schedule, and Skywest is paralyzed.
