I would be fine with this if they would put the earning levels back to where they were. 750 MQM minimum and 2x on front cabin fares.
The elimination of that hurt us short haul traveler hugely. (Still does - the 750 MQM minimum was meant for the short haul segment traveler where they eliminated the segment qualification)
I used to buy tickets up front ATL-JAX all the time. It earned me 3k MQMs round trip. Which by the way I spent MORE money than ATL-LAX up front at the time. (750x2x2). Now up front I would earn a whopping 1500 MQMs (still at a ticket about the same as flying ATL-LAX up front (which would earn almost 6k MQMs). Now you tell me. WHO is the most profitable customer.
So now you want to raise it to 100k and leave things the way they are? Put them back and i'm 100% behind you, but as it stands right now my earning of miles was cut by 50%, but the threshold only cut by 33% so I need those extra MQMs from the credit card. If they put it back to 100k and they don't do that I can guarantee you one thing (and I know others are in my shoes) - I am OUT of here. No way i'm flying 50 weeks out of the year to be a GM (barely at that as I'm hub based so most of my trips are only 1000 MQMs round trip - and I GUARANTEE you I spend more than most getting there). Many times I'm paying $1200 ATL-SDF or something similar.
You guys can pound sand. Seriously.
