Gatwick Cabin Crew

I bumped into an aquaintence last night who worked for as LGW BA Cabin Crew and was shocked and saddened to hear he had recently been made redundant. To his credit he's quite philosophical, is already in a new role (entirely different industry) and said he's discovered there can be joy after flying

I've read on FT about the potential closures of Crew bases in GLA and EDI, but I wasn't aware that the LGW schedules had been cut so significantly that they had resulted in redundancies.

The vast majority of my flying is to or from LGW and I find the BA crew to be (more often than not) consistent, professional and genuinely friendly. So, for what it's worth, to those who have been affected (and may be lurking), you're in my thoughts and I wish you all the very best. To those who are still pushing those carts down the aisle – please know that you are appreciated and valued, and that you're one of the key reasons why I choose BA. Keep up the great work.
