Outbound will be no problem ( 2 hours should be plenty)
Inbound is just over the minimum connection time ( MCT at LHR is 60 mins) but I do not think there are any other BA flights to DFW that day ( if your MAA-LHR is delayed ,BA might put you on AA). The flight will need to be close to time for a connection to be made ( more than 30 mins delay and I think you will miss the DFW flight) unfortunately
The taxes ( incuding fuel surcharges) sound about right for 4 flights unfortunately.
Other FT'er might know more about alternative routes to India.
