You may or may not be able to earn AA credit for your BA flight. It would be difficult for someone on this board to answer your question w/o knowing the route you are flying and your fare basis. You should probably look at the BA chart on aa.com

If your flight qualifies, you can add the AAdvantage # at checkin.
